This 2022 S.H. Figuarts Piccolo 'Super Hero' brings us Gohan’s master just as he appeared in the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie. The figure reuses parts of the previous design but has been adapted to match the look seen in the film—offering new sculpted elements in many areas while retaining the 2.5 body design from the 2020 Piccolo, making both figures fully compatible.
This articulated figure, Piccolo -Super Hero-, was released in 2022 as a regular edition and is figure number 123 in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
It marks the fifth Piccolo figure released by Tamashii Nations and the first based on his appearance in the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie. In 2023, a second figure from the same film followed—this time featuring his Orange Piccolo transformation.
The sculpt and design draw heavily from the 2020 Piccolo release, with notable updates to the shoulders, chest, and feet to more accurately reflect his appearance in the movie. It also adopts the film’s color scheme, including the yellow-toned muscle areas. The figure retains the same 2.5 articulation system as the 2020 version, and all heads, hands, and the cape are fully interchangeable between both figures.
Key improvements over the 2020 version include enhanced facial detailing and a slimmer waist, which gives the figure a more refined silhouette.
As for accessories, it follows the standard offering for a regular release—featuring a selection of faceplates and hands. However, collectors who own the 2020 version can expand their options with compatible parts, especially the cape and head sculpts.
At listacompletade.com, we highly recommend this figure. It's a solid representation of Piccolo and remains relatively affordable. That said, some fans may still prefer his classic DBZ design. Alternatively, the Piccolo Daima figure—featuring a fabric cape and 4.0 body system—might be worth considering for those seeking a more premium option.
