This 2019 S.H. Figuarts 'Piccolo Daimaoh' brings us this character in his most classic version from Dragon Ball. It is a figure with considerable height, adapting very well to its scale. Its accessories and faces are spectacular, even including the egg from which Piccolo Jr. will emerge. Its articulation is mostly 2.0, except for the knees.
This articulated figure, 'Piccolo Daimaoh', was released in 2019 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, being the 77th figure in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball collection.
This is the third release by Tamashii Nations of the character 'Piccolo' (yes, because the current Piccolo is the reincarnation of this one). The previous two were the same figure of Piccolo from DBZ: the original with a 1.0 body from 2009 — which was the very first figure in the entire SHF collection — and the second was an exclusive clone for SDCC 2013.
For this new figure, the design is based on his appearance in Dragon Ball Classic, during the Kid Goku saga, after being rejuvenated by the Dragon Balls and eventually defeating Goku with the 'Great Ape Punch'.
The design and sculpting are 100% new and very well executed. The scale is great — the figure stands nearly 20 cm tall. Next to Son Goku “A Saiyan Raised on Earth,” he’s quite tall, although not as much compared to the 2018 Kid Goku figure, which is a bit oversized. However, when placed next to GT Goku or the mini Goku from Daima, Piccolo Daimaoh appears massive.
Its articulation architecture is mostly version 2.0, but the knee joint system is 3.0, so we classify it as a 2.5 figure.
From listacompletade.com, we 100% recommend this figure if you can find it at a good price. As of today (2025), no other figure of this version of the character has been released again.
