This S.H. Figuarts Piccolo "The Proud Namekian," released in 2020, is the second version of this character launched by the brand. This figure features a new sculpt, design, and uses the improved 2.0 articulation system (2.5). In terms of accessories, it's very complete: heads with and without turban, an articulated cape, and even a battle-damaged arm.
This articulated Piccolo figure, "The Proud Namekian," was released in 2020 as a regular run and has had several restocks since then. It is also figure number 94 in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball collection.
This is the fourth SHF Piccolo figure released overall, but it's the second version of the DBZ Piccolo. The first version includes the 2009 Piccolo and its SDCC 2013 exclusive re-release, both with the 1.0 body.
For this new Piccolo figure, much of the design and structure from the Piccolo Daimaoh figure was reused, but with adaptations in size, colors, and partial sculpting. Its articulation system is version 2.5, which essentially means it's mostly 2.0, but the legs and knees showcase the newer system that would later be used for 3.0 figures.
Its facial designs, the face-swapping system with the turban, along with its accessories, the cape, and the interchangeable damaged arm, make this figure a very complete piece and a worthy tribute to such a beloved character.
In 2022, the body of this figure was reused—with fewer accessories and slight differences—for the 'Super Hero' version. With the release of Daima, a new figure was introduced with 4.0 articulation and a fabric cape, almost as complete as this one.
At listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure—especially if you can find it at a good price or during a restock—given its excellent sculpt, solid articulation, and rich set of accessories. But if not, you can always consider the Daima version as an alternative.
