This 2024 S.H. Figuarts of -Super Android 17- brings us the “fusion” of the two Android 17s seen in Dragon Ball GT. The figure has a new design and sculpt; its body articulation system is 3.0 with improvements in the “butterfly” joint. It includes a ki attack, plus a face, flowing hair, and an aura for Goku ‘GT’.
This articulated figure — Super Android 17 — was released in 2024 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, being figure number 182 in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This is the 4th release of an Android 17 figure. The first two releases were based on DBZ: the Android 17 figure from 2014 and its Event Exclusive Color Edition re-release in 2020; the third release is Android 17 "Universe Survival Saga" from 2021, based on DB Super; and this fourth release brings us his ‘fused’ version from Dragon Ball GT.
For context, this Super Android 17 is the fusion of the Android 17 living on Earth and another Android 17 created in Hell. They fused, and the result was Super Android 17, who was defeated by Goku using the Dragon Fist.
Its design and sculpting are completely new, featuring a 3.0 articulation system with an aesthetic and mobility rarely seen before. Also, the shoulder butterfly joint uses the jacket’s design to provide the greatest range of motion ever seen in a figure, without losing aesthetics.
Accessories include several faces and hands, two extra hair pieces with motion effects, and finally a ki attack with a very good design.
Besides the accessories for this figure, it also includes three accessories for the GT Kid Goku figure: a face, a hair piece with motion, and a golden dragon aura, all for posing Goku performing the ‘Dragon Fist’ attack that defeats this villain.
From listacompletade.com, it’s a highly recommended figure on its own, but we only suggest it to GT fans and completists, since despite being a very good figure, the arc and villain went largely unnoticed in the GT saga.
