This S.H. Figuarts – Super Saiyan God Son Goku "Saiyan God instilled with the light of righteous hearts" from 2024 brings us Goku in his first divine transformation, used against Beerus in Battle of Gods. This is the 3rd release of this figure, identical in sculpt and accessories to its 2017 and 2021 versions, but with a different color scheme and now as a regular release.
This articulated figure – Super Saiyan God Son Goku "Saiyan God instilled with the light of righteous hearts" – was released in 2024 as a regular edition and has seen a few restocks since then. It is figure number 168 in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
Among all the Goku figures released, this transformation—first seen in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods—is now on its third release, with the same sculpt and accessories.
The first version, released in 2017, was a Tamashii Web Exclusive with lighter-colored clothing. The second, released in 2021 as an Exclusive Event item, had similar colors to this 2024 version but featured translucent hair. This third release combines the hair color from the first version with the outfit from the second.
This figure has caused some controversy, not because it’s a reused sculpt, but because previous versions were exclusives, and this one is a regular release—diminishing the exclusivity of the earlier versions, even if this 2024 version has a new color scheme.
As for design, sculpt, and the 2.0 body, there's nothing new to add—they're identical to other Goku figures. The accessories are also the same, even the facial expressions.
According to listacompletade.com, this figure is recommended only if you missed out on the earlier exclusive versions, since having Goku in this transformation is essential for any collection.
