This S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan 2 Son Goku was sold exclusively in Japan at the Tamashii Store to promote a local event. The figure is a full re-release: same figure and same accessories as the Exclusive Edition released for SDCC 2022, with the only difference being that this box follows the traditional design of regular releases.
This articulated Super Saiyan 2 Son Goku figure was released in 2025 as an event- and region-exclusive for Dragon Ball Figure Expo and sold at the Tamashii Store. It is figure number 185 in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This release was somewhat controversial but understandable: it’s an identical re-release—same figure, paint, and accessories—as the SDCC 2022 SSJ2 Goku, with the only difference being this box follows the regular release style.
The controversy arose because this figure was originally exclusive to events like SDCC 2022, making it hard for Japanese fans to obtain. Due to demand, Tamashii released a Japan-exclusive version during the DB Figure Expo, available via raffles and in-store purchases.
We won’t dwell much on the figure, as it’s exactly the same. It’s based on the Majin Boo saga, specifically the fight with Majin Vegeta. The figure still has a very original design, with battle damage sculpting on the chest unique to this figure and the SDCC one, as well as the SSJ2 hairstyle. For more details, check the original figure’s profile.
From listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure if you find it at a reasonable price, either this version or the SDCC one. Don’t overpay, as it uses the Goku 2.0 body, which has since been phased out for future releases.
