This S.H. Figuarts Son Goku (Kind-hearted Saiyan), released in 2026, brings us the Goku we saw in the Androids and Cell Saga in his base form. It’s the second release of this appearance, this time featuring the new design and 4.0 body introduced with the 2025 SSJ Goku, along with new faces and hairstyles — finally leaving behind the old 2.0 bodies for our Goku.
This articulated figure —Son Goku (Kind-hearted Saiyan)— was released in 2026 as a regular-run item, allowing for several restocks over the years. It is also the 214th figure in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball collection.
Looking at all Goku figures released by the brand, there have been nine adult Goku figures in base form (not counting Kaioken). Only one of those represented Goku in his base form with his Androids and Cell Saga outfit — characterized by having no kanji and a belt without a knot. That first SHF with this appearance was ‘Son Goku’ (2014), a figure using the 1.0 body. So this 2026 version, ‘Kind-hearted Saiyan’, would be the second.
Being a regular-release figure with a new mold, it will likely replace ‘Son Goku “A Saiyan Raised on Earth”’ (2018), which since its launch became the standard or must-have base Goku. However, that one was based on the Namek Saga, featuring the corresponding kanji and knotted belt. We say it will replace it because that Goku used the 2.0 body, which was used to exhaustion, and with this new version we move from 2.0 to 4.0.
Speaking specifically about this figure: its design, sculpt, and 4.0 body are reused from the 2025 SSJ Goku, but with a different color scheme. The faces and hairstyles are 100% new.
As for accessories, it’s quite a complete figure, since in addition to plenty of hands and faces, it includes a second hairstyle with a wind effect.
From listacompletade.com, we 100% recommend this figure — we finally have a DBZ base-form Goku with a 4.0 body. This Goku will also replace the Raised Saiyan version, which will be noticeable in future accessory and effect releases. Plus, it’s a regular-release figure and relatively affordable.
