This S.H. Figuarts — Trunks ‘GT’ — from 2024 brings us Trunks as seen during the first arc of the non-canonical Dragon Ball GT. It features an original design and sculpt, with a 3.0 articulation system that includes interesting new details in the legs. Among its accessories, it highlights a ‘groin’ and ‘tail’ for the Goku ‘GT’ figure.
This articulated figure — Trunks 'GT' — was released in 2024 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, being figure number 180 in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
Of all the Trunks figures the brand has released, this is the first that is not a ‘Future Trunks’, bringing us the Trunks we knew from the first arc of Dragon Ball GT, that non-canonical saga of this great franchise.
Its design and sculpting are completely new and original, using soft rubber parts for his jacket. Also, the articulation system used is 3.0 but with a special feature due to the design of the character's pants, as the knee joint on the back of the knee has a flap on the pants that lifts to allow greater mobility and respect the aesthetics.
The accessories are not very remarkable: some faces and hands for the character, crossed arms, and a thigh swap, which includes pins to place the arms without hands and simulate the character having his hands in the pants pockets.
The “notable” part, in quotes, is that it includes two accessories for the GT Kid Goku figure, a Saiyan tail and a groin piece with the hole to insert the tail.
From listacompletade.com, this figure is only recommended for completists and DBGT fans, as we consider this character never really shined in this saga.
