This S.H. Figuarts – Super Saiyan Trunks "Infinite Latent Super Power" from 2023 is the second release of this Future Trunks version from DBZ in battle armor. It’s identical to the first 2016 version but features a recolor. It does not include the base form head and faces, but the Super Saiyan faces have been improved.
This articulated figure – Super Saiyan Trunks "Infinite Latent Super Power" – was released in 2023 as a regular release and has had a few restocks since. It is figure number 154 in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
Among all existing Trunks figures, this is the second release by Tamashii and Bandai of this specific version, based on Dragon Ball Z during the Android and Cell Saga—more specifically, after the characters begin training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and Bulma provides them with battle armor.
The first version was released in 2016 and simply called Trunks SSJ. Both figures are clones: same design, sculpt, and 2.0 body/articulation type. The differences are in the paint job—this 2023 version has more intense colors on the clothing, improved face printing using modern techniques, and a shiny finish on the hair instead of matte. The biggest difference is that this version does not include the base form head and face.
From listacompletade.com, this is a figure we recommend 100%, as it retains the strong design of the original while improving the paint. And even though it lacks the base form hair, it’s still a great figure to represent many iconic moments. That said, if you find the original at a good price, we recommend it over this one for the extra head.
