This S.H. Figuarts – Metal Cooler – from 2023 brings us Frieza’s brother as seen in his second Dragon Ball Z movie. This figure features an entirely new sculpt with 3.0 joint architecture in its body and stands out for its metallic paint, giving it an appearance that looks like it’s made of metal.
This articulated figure – Metal Cooler – was released in 2023 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, being figure number 160 in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This is the second figure the brand has released of this character, Frieza’s brother, Cooler. The first was “Cooler Final Form” in 2021, and this time we get the version of the villain as seen in his second Dragon Ball Z movie from the ’90s — his robotic form.
Its design and sculpt are 100% new and original, featuring a 3.0 joint system. Additionally, the tail includes multiple articulation points never seen before. In terms of accessories, it’s a very complete figure: besides several faces and hands, it includes an extra pair of feet, a shoulder pad, and an arm to recreate the moments when he self-repairs. That arm is not articulated.
What truly makes this figure stand out is its paint and finish — the metallic coating gives it the look of polished metal, though it’s made of plastic, making it resemble a real Die-Cast figure.
From listacompletade.com, this is a figure we only recommend for completionists or fans of the character, because despite being very well made, the character is non-canon and not very relevant for many.
