This S.H. Figuarts -Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta ‘Unwavering Saiyan Pride’- from 2023 brings us the Prince of all Saiyans in his SSJ Blue form, as seen in Dragon Ball Super. The figure reuses the 2.0 body and armor accessories previously seen in other Vegeta figures, but with a different color scheme. What’s new here is the sculpt of his hair and all his faceplates.
This articulated figure — Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta ‘Unwavering Saiyan Pride’ — was released in 2024 as a regular edition, and has had a few restocks since then. It is figure number 175 in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball line.
This release takes us to Dragon Ball Super, where Vegeta can be placed either in the Goku Black arc, the Tournament of Power, or the Inter-Universal Exhibition Match.
Out of all Vegeta figures, this is the third release of the character in this transformation: the first in 2016 with a 1.0 body (based on Resurrection 'F'), the second in 2019 with a 2.0 body (from DB Super: Broly, reissued in 2024 for the brand’s 15th anniversary), and this third version, released in late 2024 — which was somewhat of a disappointment.
While it gave many fans access to a budget-friendly SSJ Blue Vegeta, the figure disappointed due to its design. Here’s why:
Its sculpt and design are a full reuse of the 2016 'Super Saiyan Vegeta', which, although a solid release at the time and still functional thanks to the 2.0 articulation system, is now an 8-year-old mold that has already been used in multiple releases. Fans expected this to be the first 3.0 or even 4.0 Vegeta in this armor style.
That evolution wouldn’t arrive until the 2025 Vegeta ‘Daima’, which finally features a 3.0 body.
Back to this 2024 release: while the base body is reused, it does have some new elements — brand-new facial expressions and a newly sculpted hairstyle, along with a fresh color scheme.
From listacompletade.com, we still fully recommend this figure, despite its shortcomings. It’s a solid Vegeta with a good mold, better faceplates than the previous Blue Vegeta, and as a regular release, it's relatively cheap and easy to find.
