This S.H. Figuarts 'Son Gokou -Event Exclusive Color Edition-' was sold exclusively during the 2019 Dragon World Adventure events. It reuses the sculpt and body of the 2018 Kid Goku figure, with a different outfit color, a slightly altered belt, and although it includes some nice accessories, it comes with significantly fewer than the original version.
This articulated figure, 'Son Gokou -Event Exclusive Color Edition-', was released in 2019 exclusively for that year’s Dragon World Adventure events. It is also the 69th release in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts line.
This Kid Goku figure is based on the first arc of the Dragon Ball series, where Bulma, Goku, Yamcha, and others meet and gather the Dragon Balls for the first time—hence the blue outfit.
It is also the second release of this character in his child form. The first was the 2018 Kid Goku, which features the Turtle School uniform.
This figure is nearly a clone of that 2018 version, sharing the same body sculpt and accessories. The only original aspects are the outfit’s colors and the slightly different belt, but all the accessories included here are also present in the original release.
In fact, this version includes fewer accessories than the original, as it does not come with the Flying Nimbus.
In 2020, the figure was re-released under a different edition with fewer accessories and the subtitle “Kid Era,” “Adventure Begins.” Then, in 2023, another version was launched—this time with the Turtle School outfit, exclusive to Tamashii stores, featuring new faces and a new hair sculpt.
According to listacompletade.com, this figure is recommended only for completists, as sooner or later a new Goku with the updated mini figure architecture from Dragon Ball Daima will likely be released, offering a more appropriate scale than these early child bodies from Tamashii Nations.
