This S.H. Figuarts "Raditz & Son Gohan -Kid-", released exclusively for SDCC 2023, brings a re-release of the 2021 Raditz figure with a softer, pastel-like recoloring, and includes a semi-articulated kid Gohan figure designed to recreate the scene where he breaks out of the pod or attacks his uncle. A support stand is also included for this purpose.
This articulated figure 'Raditz & Son Gohan -Kid-' was released as an Exclusive Edition for San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2023 and is also the 150th figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
Like most exclusive event figures, this is a re-release of a previously launched figure, featuring a recolor and some extras. The original figure is the 2021 Raditz, with the same sculpt, design, accessories, and body type, but with the addition of a semi-articulated Son Gohan figure in his first appearance. The mini Gohan’s faceplates are interchangeable, and his head and tail are movable. Additionally, it includes a generic Tamashii Stand support to display either Raditz or Gohan. All this allows you to pose them to recreate the opening scene of Dragon Ball Z with Gohan breaking out of the pod or hitting Raditz.
The recolor used on Raditz is more pastel and resembles the manga colors more closely, while the original is closer to the anime.
The design and sculpt of Kid Gohan are completely new and original, although it would be reused and modified for the 2024 Son Goku & Son Gohan 'Kid' & Kintoun 'Exclusive Edition' figure.
From listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure as long as you find it at a good price and don’t have the original, as both figures are identical except for the colors, and this one comes with the added mini Gohan.
If you want to see a review-unboxing of the figure, there’s also a video right here where the YouTuber El Cuarto 4to Gamer MX shows it in full detail.
