This S.H. Figuarts – Porunga & Dende "Glowing Dragon Ball Set" "Come Forth, Genuine Shenron!!" – from 2022 brings us the colossal sacred dragon of Planet Namek along with the young Namekian. Both feature entirely new sculpts and designs, with Porunga standing nearly 30 cm tall and featuring 3.0-style articulation from the waist up. Dende is also semi-articulated and comes with a diorama base that includes lights and sound effects.
This articulated figure set – Porunga & Dende "Glowing Dragon Ball Set" "Come Forth, Genuine Shenron!!" – was released in 2022 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive and is the 138th release in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball collection.
These are the first (and only, as of 2025) figures released by the brand of both the young Namekian and the Sacred Dragon of Namek, inspired by the Namek Saga of Dragon Ball Z.
The brand’s first Sacred Dragon figure was Shenron in 2018, which later received an Exclusive Edition in 2022 for SDCC. As with those releases, despite being nearly 30 cm tall, these figures are noticeably underscaled.
Porunga’s sculpt and design are highly original and well-executed. He features articulation from the waist up, using a system similar to the 3.0 body style, and includes interchangeable hands.
Dende’s sculpt and design are also solid. He is articulated at the neck, shoulders, and hands, and comes with interchangeable heads and hands.
The standout accessory in this set is a diorama-style pedestal that resembles Namek’s ground, with seven slots for the included Namekian Dragon Balls. The pedestal is battery-powered: when all the balls are placed and a button is pressed, they light up and play sound effects that simulate the activation scene—complete with voice lines from Dende and Porunga in both Namekian and Japanese.
At listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure only for completists and big fans who have ample display space, as the figure is quite large and may not fit in most cabinets—and it can also be expensive to acquire.
