This 2019 S.H. Figuarts Bulma 'Adventure Begins' is based on her first appearance in Dragon Ball. It features a 1.5 body, very similar to the 2018 figure, but with a new design for much of the sculpting. Its accessories are not excessive but are very complete: a Dragon Ball, a radar, a gun, several hands, and more.
This articulated 'Bulma -Adventure Begins-' figure was released in 2019 as a regular release and has had several re-stocks over the years. It is also the 78th figure in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball collection.
This is the third release of this character by Tamashii Nations. The first two are clones: the first from 2018 and the second, an event-exclusive from 2019, both based on the ending of classic Dragon Ball and the cover of volume 10 of the original Dragon Ball manga.
With this version, the brand brings us another figure based on Dragon Ball Classic, featuring Bulma in her first appearance when she meets Goku on Mount Paozu. That’s why she is wearing her pink dress, holding the radar, the Dragon Ball, and the gun she uses against Goku after he destroys her car.
The sculpting is partially original, as it uses much of the previous Bulma version. Its architecture is 1.5, as seen in other female characters. Together with its accessories, we can recreate multiple poses.
As a fun detail, it has sculpted and painted underwear, and as shown in the image gallery, we can recreate the scene where she tries to bribe Goku in exchange for 'letting him touch a little' and Goku responds, 'I’m not interested in touching a butt that might be dirty.'
The only 'flaw' of the figure is that due to her slimness, the elbow and knee joints are too visible and 'clash with the sight' a little.
From listacompletade.com, this is a figure we 100% recommend despite the elbow and knee flaws, as, unless a renewed version with new sculpting and articulation system is released, it’s a regular figure that could be restocked and represents an iconic moment in Dragon Ball.
