This articulated 'Android 17 -Universe Survival Saga-' figure was released in 2021 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, making it the 117th figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This is the third release the brand has made of this character, but it’s actually only the second distinct version or figure. The first two releases were "clones": the first in 2017 named 'Android no.17' and the second in 2020 as an 'Exclusive Event.' Both figures were identical in sculpt, design, and body, based on DBZ during the Android and Cell saga.
For this new version, they bring us the Android as seen in Dragon Ball Super, during the Tournament of Power or Multiversal arc, which is why he’s wearing his Ranger outfit. This results in a 100% new sculpt and incorporates the 3.0 articulation system in the design of the body.
In terms of accessories, it’s a fairly complete figure, with plenty of hands and faces. It also includes two hairpieces, one with a dynamic or wind effect. Additionally, there are two ki attack effects: a ball that attaches to one of his hands with a pin, and another that wraps around the fists.
For this character, in 2024 they released his 'fused' version from Dragon Ball GT, called 'Super Android 17.'
