The S.H. Figuarts Time Patroller 'Xenoverse Edition' is a limited edition figure released in 2017 to promote the "Xenoverse 2" game for consoles and PC. It features a 2.0 body that seems to incorporate parts from the 2012 Trunks figure, but with Gohan’s face, a cape, and a Scouter. This figure is based on a customizable character that players can create within the game.
The Time Patroller 'Xenoverse Edition' figure was released in 2017 as the 38th entry in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection, with a regular distribution but limited units.
This figure, along with the Trunks from the same year, marked the first time the brand released figures based on a Dragon Ball video game, whereas previous figures had all been based on the Anime/Manga.
The regular but limited release means that while it was distributed like any other standard figure, the number of units produced was restricted, with no restocks.
The figure boasts a 100% new sculpt, but it takes heavy inspiration from the 2012 Trunks figure’s 1.5 body, adapted to the more modern 2.0 body system. You’ll also spot features from the 2013 Vegeta (like the Scouter) and a cape similar to Piccolo's from 2009. The head is identical to Gohan’s.
As for accessories, the figure includes a Kame Hame Ha with a stand, double hair pieces, and both base form and SSJ forms. Notably, the base form is red, which can also be achieved in the game. It comes with 2 faces for each hair piece and plenty of interchangeable hands.
One interesting detail about these limited Xenoverse 2 figures is that they included a redeemable code for the PlayStation game.
At Listacompletade.com, while we think it’s a solid figure, we don’t recommend it unless you’re a completist or a fan of the game. If you're curious, check out the video review from FigurAdicto X on YouTube, where they showcase the figure with enthusiasm.
