This 2023 S.H. Figuarts - Super Saiyan Vegeta ‘Awakening Super Saiyan Blood’ brings us another variant of Vegeta from DBZ’s Cell Saga. It’s essentially a clone of the 2016 release, featuring the same sculpt and body, but with a more vibrant color palette and upgraded facial expressions thanks to the latest printing technology.
This articulated figure – Super Saiyan Vegeta ‘Awakening Super Saiyan Blood’ – was released in 2023 as a regular release and has since had several restocks. It is the 134th figure in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball collection.
Among all the SHF Vegeta figures, this is the fourth release by the brand of the Saiyan prince in SSJ form based on Dragon Ball Z’s Android and Cell sagas. The first version came out in 2011 with the 1.0 body, followed by a Premium Color Edition re-release in 2015 as the second. The third release arrived in 2016 with the 2.0 body, and in 2023 we got this fourth and latest version to date (2025).
The figure itself is a clone of the 2016 version: it reuses the sculpt, 2.0 body, and even accessories, with the only notable change being the color palette, which is more intense in this new version. The faces have also been improved with the latest printing and detailing technologies. The downside: this version includes one fewer face than the 2016 edition, and that missing face was included with the Android 19 figure as part of a Build-A-Figure set.
From listacompletade.com, this figure is 100% recommended, although if you already have the 2016 edition, you might not need it. Still, if you want more details, we recommend watching the unboxing and comparison video we linked from the YouTube channel El Cuarto 4to Gamer MX.
