This S.H. Figuarts — Super Saiyan Goku 'Z Fighter' — released in 2024 as a Tamashii Store exclusive, brings us a version of Goku that pays homage to the ending scene of the Dragon Ball Z opening "Cha-La Head-Cha-La". The figure reuses the sculpt and 2.0 body from previous Goku releases but stands out due to its translucent coloring, improved new faceplates, and two newly sculpted Super Saiyan hairstyles.
This articulated figure — Super Saiyan Goku 'Z Fighter' — was released in 2024 as a Tamashii Store exclusive (Tokyo, New York, and Shanghai), and remained on sale until mid-2025. It is figure number 177 in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball collection.
It’s the second Tamashii Store exclusive ever made. The first was Son Goku "The Innocent Challenger" (2024), a reissue of the 2018 Kid Goku with fewer accessories but new faces and hair.
This second store-exclusive brings us a new SSJ Goku based on the final moments of the Dragon Ball Z opening ("Cha-La Head-Cha-La") during the Cell saga. In the gallery, you can see images of the Z Fighters and Goku transforming into a Super Saiyan at the end of the intro.
The sculpt reuses the 2.0 body from Super Saiyan Full Power Son Goku, which itself reused parts from Super Saiyan 3 Goku — one of the most used 2.0 bodies for Goku. However, this figure uses translucent plastic, a unique color finish, and a lighter skin tone. While the body is reused, the 3 faceplates and both hairstyles are brand-new and far superior to the Full Power Goku's.
As for accessories, the figure includes few faces but a good selection of hands. The most notable item is the second hairstyle with a dynamic, wind-swept effect.
At listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure if you're able to buy it directly from a Tamashii Store, where it's priced reasonably. Otherwise, we wouldn't overpay for it — it's still just another 2.0 Goku. And with the release of Super Saiyan Goku 'The Game’s Beginning' in 2025, using the new 4.0 body, these 2.0 Gokus are starting to feel outdated.
