The S.H. Figuarts of Super Saiyan Trunks was released in 2016 as a regular edition and is the second model or version of this character, this time wearing the combat outfit or armor. It was also the second figure launched with the 2.0 body within the line, and among its accessories, the interchangeable hairstyles—one in Super Saiyan and one in base form—stand out.
This S.H. Figuarts of Super Saiyan Trunks is the 31st release in the Dragon Ball collection and was a regular edition.
It is the third release of this character from Tamashii Nations. The first two were based on his first appearance: one released in 2012 and the other in 2016, featuring his denim jacket and sword, while this version comes with the combat armor he wore during training in the Room of Spirit and Time and the Cell Games.
This Trunks figure also marks the third release with the new box type that we have today (2025).
It is the second figure released with a fully 2.0 body. The first was SSJ Goku Warrior in 2015, and with this Trunks, it seems Tamashii will no longer release new (non-reissue) figures with the 1.0 body.
As for its accessories, it’s a regular figure that includes the typical 3 faces and 3 pairs of hands, but it also comes with crossed arms and a dual hair set: one in SSJ with 3 faces, and the base form hair with just one face.
This future Trunks version with combat armor had several re-releases until 2023, when it received a slight redesign and improvement, released as a new figure, but this time without the base form hair.
To conclude, from Listacompletade.com, we only recommend this figure if you find it at a good price, as the 2016 edition is now out of print, and in any case, we have the 2023 version which has better faces, and although it doesn’t include the base form hair, it fully serves its purpose.
