This S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Broly "Exclusive Edition," released for NYCC 2022, brings back the armored version of Broly from Dragon Ball Super. Unlike the original, this edition includes only one hairstyle, though it comes with three interchangeable faces. The colors are now metallic, and it also includes a two-piece ki aura effect that adds extra height to the display.
This articulated Super Saiyan Broly figure, released in 2022 as an "Exclusive Edition" for NYCC, is also the 135th figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
As with other event-exclusive releases, this is a recolored version with some modifications of the SHF Broly "Super" figure from 2018.
Out of all the Broly figures the brand has released, this is the third one dedicated to his canonical Dragon Ball Super version, and as mentioned, it's a variant of the 2018 figure based on his standalone movie.
Its sculpt, articulation, and mold are exactly the same as the original. The first noticeable difference is the color scheme—this edition features metallic tones for the clothing and pastel matte tones for the skin and hair. The second major difference lies in the accessories: while the original included three full heads representing three different Broly forms or transformations, this exclusive edition includes only one hairstyle, but with three interchangeable faces, which have a better finish than those of the original.
A standout accessory not included with the original is the ki aura effect, composed of two pieces that add extra height when displayed.
From listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure if you find it at a good price. While the original offers more transformations, this version includes three faces for the same form… it's a tough call, but if we had to choose, we’d go with the original.
