This S.H. Figuarts -Son Gohan Beast-, released in 2023, brings us Goku’s son in his most powerful transformation seen in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. It is the first figure to include a chest articulation system hidden beneath a rubber vest. Aside from that, its design is very similar to Ultimate Gohan, but with battle damage. It also includes a ki attack, the Makankōsappō.
This articulated figure -Son Gohan Beast- was released in 2023 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, being the 148th figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
Among all the SHF Gohan figures, this is the second one based on the movie DB Super: Super Hero, giving us this time a version with battle damage and transformed into 'Beast'. The other version is 'Ultimate Gohan' from 2022.
The design and sculpt of the character recycle legs and arms from the 'Ultimate' version, but modified slightly to add battle damage. His faces and hairpiece are completely new, as is the entire chest system that adapts to the new articulation system. Speaking of which, this figure innovates and improves the 3.0 body articulation system by adding a soft rubber jacket that hides the chest joint, enhancing the aesthetics. They also experiment with a new system for the shoulder pads, also made of soft rubber (which we would also see in the Orange Piccolo figure).
Regarding accessories, it’s a very complete figure in terms of faces and hands, and it also includes a well-designed and sculpted Makankōsappō effect with a stand, which includes the hand to place on the figure.
Lastly, like other Tamashii Web figures dedicated to 'Super Hero', it comes with an accessory for the 'Ultimate Gohan' figure; this time, it is a face showing him in pre-Beast transformation.
From listacompletade.com, this is a figure we recommend to anyone who can acquire it at a reasonable price, as it’s definitely worth it for both the figure and the transformation and accessories.
