This 2026 S.H. Figuarts ‘Saichoro’ brings us the Grand Elder or Patriarch of the Namekians that we saw in DBZ in a perfectly suitable scale. It is a large figure (about 26 cm), with limited mobility in the head and arms, interchangeable faces, and also includes original phrases from the TV series along with light effects.
This articulated figure ‘Saichoro’ from 2026 is a Tamashii Web Exclusive release, being the 204th figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This is the first figure the brand has released of the Patriarch, Grand Elder, or Saichoro of the Namekians, whom we met in the Namek Saga of DBZ.
This figure is ‘special’, much like the Porunga figure from 2022, as it does not stand out for great mobility but for the inclusion of lights and sounds, just like the Namekian dragon figure did.
Its design and sculpt are 100% new and original, a very respectable job by the brand, but what sets it apart from other large figures (measuring about 26 cm) is that this one IS in scale with the other SHF figures.
As mentioned, mobility is not its strong suit, since both the body and legs are immobile; it can only move its head, shoulders, elbows, and hands.
Among the accessories, it comes with interchangeable heads and hands, noting that the chair or throne is not attached to Saichoro’s body and can be displayed empty as decoration.
The figure’s main highlight is its light and sound effects; the sounds are phrases from the TV series (in Japanese), and the lights are on the hands to represent the ‘power-ups’ it gives to Gohan and Krillin.
From listacompletade.com, this figure is recommended only for collectors and fans of the Namek saga with enough space to display it, as it is quite bulky overall and expensive.
