The S.H. Figuarts Piccolo from DBZ, released in 2009, holds the honor and distinction of being the very first figure in the entire collection, with all the strengths and weaknesses that come with it. Featuring a 1.0 body structure and a decent selection of accessories.
Today, its sculpt, technology, and design show their age, but it remains a valuable piece for completists.

Details and curiosities about this first version of Piccolo
We've already mentioned what makes this figure special: being number 1 in the collection. However, for its time, it was a very complete figure and has aged better than others, even some more recent ones.
If we look at the images, we can see that its faces and sculpting were very well done, with nothing to envy from many current figures. Regarding accessories, it’s a fairly complete figure: it includes three faces, three pairs of hands, crossed arms, a cape, and a hand for the Makankōsappō.
As for its design, it’s based on DBZ, during the Android and Cell saga, although we know that Piccolo doesn’t change much. What is particular about this figure, and wasn’t seen again until the Piccolo from Super Hero, is that it features the original manga colors: a red belt instead of blue and yellow musculature instead of pink.
