This S.H. Figuarts 'Perfect Cell' Event Exclusive Color Edition, released exclusively for events like SDCC or NYCC in 2018, is the third version or reissue of this figure, originally launched in 2012. It features the same sculpt, articulation, and accessories (including the base and the Kamehameha effect), but with an entirely different color palette — one that is the least appreciated by fans.
This articulated figure, 'Perfect Cell, Event Exclusive Color Edition', was released in 2018 exclusively for events such as the SDCC or NYCC of that year. It is also figure number 56 in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This is the third time the brand has released this figure: same mold, same accessories, same everything, except for the colors and packaging. While it's not a bad figure, by 2018, its sculpt was already quite outdated, as the original edition dates back to 2012, with a 1.5 body and good accessories. It’s worth noting that it comes with a Kamehameha effect and a diorama-style base for the ki effect, which have only been included with this figure.
We’ve mentioned that there are three versions of this figure: the 2012 version has manga colors, the 2017 'Premium Color' version has anime colors, and this one has the colors of... (let someone comment below), with those blue shades instead of purple, the new green tone, and the repainted eyes... Honestly, from Listacompletade.com, we don’t recommend it, not even to completists, as we find it an aberration, with only the painted diorama and the Kamehameha effect being redeeming.
