This S.H. Figuarts Krillin "Battle Clothes," released in 2022, brings us Goku’s best friend wearing the Frieza Force battle armor, as seen on Namek. The design and sculpt are completely new, and for its joint architecture, it uses what we refer to as "Kid 1.5," specifically tailored for smaller figures.
This articulated Krillin "Battle Clothes" figure, released in 2022 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, is the 136th figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This is the third figure the brand has released of this character in his Dragon Ball Z phase: in 2013 we had "Klilyn" with a 1.0 body, and in early 2022 came "Earth’s Strongest Man" with a 3.0 body, both wearing the Turtle School combat uniform. This new version features Krillin on Namek, wearing the Frieza Force battle armor.
Its design and sculpt are entirely new and have little in common with previous Krillin figures. For its articulation system, it uses the same one seen in Son Gohan "Battle Clothes," also released in 2022: a "Kid 1.5" body that draws from the adult 2.0 system for the legs and the 3.0 system for the torso and arms. Compared to previous figures, this version slightly improves Krillin’s height scaling, but it still ends up being quite disproportionate and overly big-headed.
In terms of accessories, a highlight is the interchangeable armor pieces, which let you add or remove battle damage on Krillin’s armor, along with extra parts that allow better mobility in the butterfly joint.
It’s worth noting that the "Earth’s Strongest Man" version is far superior in articulation design, movement, and proportions, thanks to its 3.0 body—though it is still too tall. As of now (in 2025), the best-scaled Krillin figure is "Son Goku’s Old Friend" from 2026, which features a 4.0 body adapted to his correct size.
From listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure only for hardcore fans and completionists, because although the design, sculpt, and intent are solid, the figure’s proportions make it look "off" next to others.
