This S.H. Figuarts – Great Demon King Piccolo "Exclusive Edition", released exclusively for SDCC 2025, brings back Piccolo Daimaō, the greatest villain from classic Dragon Ball. The figure is a re-release of the 2019 version, now with a manga-based color scheme instead of the anime version. It loses some accessories, but in exchange, it includes his throne.
This articulated figure —Great Demon King Piccolo 'Exclusive Edition'— was released in 2025 as an event-exclusive, specifically for SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con), and is figure number 195 in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
Like most event-exclusive releases, this is a re-release of a highly popular older figure with a recolor and some changes or additions.
This exclusive release brings back Piccolo Daimaō, the pre-incarnation of the current Piccolo and the most fearsome villain of classic Dragon Ball, whom young Goku had to face.
The original figure is —Piccolo Daimaō— from 2019, and this SDCC exclusive edition shares the design, sculpt, and 2.5 body system of the original. The main difference is the coloring: while the original has the colors seen in the anime, this exclusive version uses the colors Akira Toriyama drew in the manga.
The accessories are another major difference. The original included a face and a set of accessories for the egg it spits at the end of its battle against young Goku, plus the sealing jar for the Mafuba. This version replaces those with the throne Piccolo sits on several times, featuring great design and size.
Regarding accessories, the sculpt of the three faces shared by both figures is the same, but the detailing and paintwork differ, making them look completely new.
As an extra note, during SDCC 2025, the figure —Son Goku "The Innocent Challenger" (2023)— was also available as a store-exclusive, and buyers were encouraged to get it along with this Piccolo, as shown in promotional images.
From listacompletade.com, this is a figure we recommend, especially if you don’t have the original. Even if you do, the manga colors give it a plus, the throne is another plus, and since the faces change, it can feel like a whole new figure.
