This 2022 S.H. Figuarts -Android 16- was released as an ‘Exclusive Edition’ for events like SDCC. The figure itself is a repaint of the original released in 2015, with the same mold, sculpt, accessories, and the same 1.5 articulation system. What it does bring, however, is a drastic improvement in the faces, completely surpassing the original.
This articulated figure – Android 16 – was released in 2022 as an 'Exclusive Edition' during events like SDCC; it is also the 130th figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
Like most event-exclusive figures, this is a re-release of a previous figure with a recolor. The original figure is from 2015 and featured brighter colors than this event-exclusive version, which is closer to what we saw on TV of this character from the Cell Saga of Dragon Ball Z.
The figure itself has the same sculpt, the same 1.5 articulation system, and the same accessories; the differences from the original are the colors mentioned above, a significant upgrade to the faces using more modern printing technology for this version, and different packaging.
Its accessories are just as limited as the original; many thought they might have at least added a couple more hands.
To date (2025), only two figures of this character have been released: this SDCC exclusive and the 2015 version, which was also exclusive but a Tamashii Web release, making both highly sought after.
From listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure whenever you find it at a good price, and of course, this one is better than the 2015 version, especially because of the faces.
