This S.H. Figuarts - Super Saiyan Son Goku ‘Exclusive Edition’ was released to commemorate the brand's 15th anniversary during the 2023 Tamashii World Tour. The figure is a re-release of the 2015 'Warrior Awakening' version, featuring a complete repaint that enhances the facial expressions and battle damage, and also includes a ki aura effect.
This articulated figure – Super Saiyan Son Goku ‘Exclusive Edition’ – was released in 2023 as an 'Exclusive Edition' to commemorate the brand's 15th anniversary and was sold during that year’s Tamashii World Tour. It is also figure number 145 in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball collection.
Like most event-exclusive figures, this one is a re-release of a previously launched figure but with a repaint and some added features. The original figure is the famous 2015 "Super Warrior Awakening ver." Goku, which depicts the first time Goku achieves the Super Saiyan transformation in Dragon Ball Z, during his fight against Frieza on Namek.
The sculpt and 2.0 articulation system are identical to the original 2015 version, but the repaint is dramatically different with a new color palette. Additionally, the latest printing technologies were used to improve the facial expressions and battle damage on the body. The hair is also somewhat more translucent this time.
Regarding interchangeable accessories, these are essentially the same: the figure includes the same number of hands and faces, but it adds a ki aura effect with unique colors for this release.
From listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure over the original version, as long as you find it at a reasonable price, since it improves the final detailing of the figure in many ways.
