This Super Saiyan God Son Goku figure was released in 2017 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive. It comes with few accessories and reuses the same body mold as the SSJ3 Goku from that year, with a different color scheme for the outfit and the addition of Goku’s kanji on the chest and back. The sculpt of the head and faceplates is 100% new, offering a clear improvement in Goku’s hair compared to the earlier 1.0 versions of the character.
This figure "Super Saiyan God Son Goku" was released in 2017 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, and it is the 45th release in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball collection.
This version of Goku is based on the DBZ Battle of Gods movie or all of Dragon Ball Super, and it is the first figure we have of this character in his divine transformation.
The body mold or sculpt is recycled from the Goku SSJ3 figure released that same year, with only the orange tone of the outfit, the skin tone, and the addition of Goku's kanji on the chest and back being changed. What is new for this figure is the sculpt of the faces and hair, which will be the base or SSG sculpt for all Goku 2.0 figures going forward.
Its accessories are nothing extraordinary for an exclusive figure that reuses sculpting, but it wasn’t an expensive figure either, it’s worth noting.
At Listacompletade.com, we only recommend this figure to completists or to those who prefer this version over the newer ones, as it was re-released in 2021 as an 'Event Exclusive Color Edition' for that year's Comic-Con @ Home, with more intense color tones. Then, in 2024, a regular edition was released, which we do recommend, as it also has slightly different colors.
