This 2025 S.H. Figuarts – Son Gohan (Beast) 'Exclusive Edition', released exclusively for events like SDCC, brings back the Gohan figure in his 'Beast' transformation. It’s a re-release of the 2023 version, featuring a pearlescent or metallic recolor, semi-translucent hair, and replacing the original ki blast accessories with a new ki aura and lightning effects matching the transformation.
This articulated figure —Son Gohan (Beast) 'Exclusive Edition'— was released in 2025 as an event-exclusive, specifically for SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con), being figure number 193 in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
Like most event-exclusive figures, this is a re-release of a highly popular previous figure, now featuring a recolor and some accessory changes.
This release is precisely that: a re-release of —Son Gohan Beast— from 2023, based on Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, where he defeats Cell Max in his 'Beast' transformation. For this exclusive, we get a recolor and updated accessories.
As mentioned, the design and sculpt are identical to the original, including the 3.5 articulation system, which hides the chest joint under a rubber vest. The main difference lies in the new color scheme: his outfit now features a pearlescent or metallic finish, his skin tone is slightly paler, and his hair is both pearlescent and semi-translucent.
When it comes to accessories, there are more notable changes. It includes the same hands, faces, and crossed arms as the original, but removes the —Ultimate Gohan 'Super Hero'— face from 2022 and the Makankōsappō ki blast. Instead, it adds a new ki aura with lightning effects — the same design first seen in the —Super Saiyan 2 Son Goku 'Exclusive Edition'— from 2022, now recolored to match Gohan's Beast transformation.
From listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure mainly for those who missed the original. The original version offers better accessories in our opinion — it’s hard to compare the iconic Makankōsappō to the simple aura effect included here. Still, the pearlescent recolor may appeal to collectors. As always, to each their own.
