This S.H. Figuarts – Cell "First Form" from 2022 brings us the second figure of this DBZ villain released by the brand. It’s a figure with an impressive sculpt: all the spots are sculpted onto the body, and even the joints are sculpted. It uses the 3.0 articulation system, but adapted to the design of this bio-android, and its articulation doesn’t disappoint anyone.
This articulated figure – Cell "First Form" – was released in 2022 as a regular edition, and since then it has had some restocks; it is also the 133rd figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This is the second figure and the fourth release the brand has made of this Dragon Ball Z villain. The first three releases are the same figure, a Perfect Cell with a 1.5 body: the first in 2012, the second a 'Premium Color' in 2017, and the third an 'Exclusive Event' in 2018. However, in this release, we have a different version, as we see him in his first form.
Its design and sculpt are completely new, standing out especially for its impressive sculpting: all the spots are sculpted, as well as the joints of the elbows, knees, butterfly joints, and groin.
The articulation system is 3.0, but adapted to the character's very particular design, and it is implemented very satisfactorily.
As for accessories, it is quite a complete figure: it includes several hands and faces, a double fringe system, antenna or forehead, plus 2 tail tips, one of them open to simulate absorbing Android No. 17.
The only drawback collectors usually mention is the scale: although it is taller than most, it is still short for who he is, which slightly clashes when compared to other figures in the collection.
From listacompletade.com, it is a figure that, despite its scale, we totally recommend, especially if you find it on pre-sale thanks to some restock, as its design and sculpt are truly magnificent.
