This S.H. Figuarts Broly 'Event Exclusive Color Edition', released exclusively for events like SDCC in 2018, is the second re-release of this large 1.0 body figure of the Legendary Super Saiyan from DBZ. The original was released in 2014, and the differences are limited to the color changes in the suit, hair, and the included ki effects.
This articulated Broly 'Event Exclusive Color Edition' figure was released, as the name suggests, exclusively for major events in 2018, such as SDCC or NYCC. It is also the 55th figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This version of Broly from the Dragon Ball Z movies is considered the 3rd release of this figure, but, like all event exclusives, with color variations. The original was released in 2014, with the second release as 'Premium Color' for SDCC 2016, and the 4th re-release is set for 2025, this time as the '40th Anniversary Reissue Edition', being identical to the original even in color.
Given that its mold and sculpting are from 2014 and it has a 1.5 body, this figure is still very good, but many fans consider it to have the worst color scheme for the clothing. However, it does have the advantage of featuring green hair, which is a nice touch.
As for accessories and sculpting, we’ve already mentioned it’s a clone and includes exactly the same ones, so we won’t repeat much, and you can always check the 2014 figure’s details.
From Listacompletade.com, we only recommend this figure if you find it at a good price, as the green hair instead of yellow is something that the 2025 re-stock and the Demoniacal Fit version do not have. Other than that, its 1.5 body is a bit outdated, and what this Broly from DBZ deserves is a new figure with a new sculpt and more recent articulation, like the Broly from Kong Studios in 2025.
