This 2021 S.H. Figuarts Bardock is based on his version seen in Dragon Ball Z. It features a 2.5 body that allows for great mobility and an almost 100% original design, with hair distinct from Goku's. Its accessories are more than sufficient for the character, with a removable scouter for all the faces, and it also includes a ki attack effect for one of his hands.
This articulated Bardock figure was released in 2021 as a regular run and has had several restocks over the years. It is also figure number 97 in the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball collection.
This is the first (and only, as of 2025) figure that Tamashii Nations has released of Son Goku's father, and for this occasion, they based it on the Bardock seen in his 90s TV special or movie from DBZ.
Its design and sculpt are nearly original. In fact, we can confidently say that the sculpt of his hair is completely different from any Goku figure released. Honestly, it's a perfect design and sculpt for the character.
The articulation system is a blend between 2.0 and 3.0. Some parts of the legs and butterfly joints use 3.0, while the rest is 2.0, but even with that, the figure has more than enough mobility. However, like any figure with leg armor protection, the mobility is somewhat limited.
In terms of accessories, it's worth noting that the scouter is removable on all four faces. If you don't want him to wear the scouter, it also includes an ear piece to replace it. Additionally, it comes with a ki attack effect for one of his right hands.
At listacompletade.com, we fully recommend this figure, especially if you find it at a good price, or if you're lucky to catch it in a pre-order, as it’s a regular run figure.
If you'd like to see a review-unboxing of the figure, there's also a video here where the YouTuber El Cuarto 4to Gamer MX shows it in full detail.
