This articulated ‘Android 18 -Universe Survival Saga-’ figure was released in 2021 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive, making it the 116th figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This is the third release the brand has made of this character, but only the second distinct figure; the first two releases used the same mold, body, and everything else, based on her first appearance in DBZ during the Android and Cell Saga. Those were the 2014 ‘Android no.18’ and its 2020 Exclusive Event version.
For this second distinct figure, they based the design on Dragon Ball Super, specifically the Multiverse Tournament Saga, which is why she wears that pink tracksuit. The design and sculpt are 100% original, and they implemented the 3.0 articulation system in the body, allowing for much greater mobility without sacrificing aesthetics compared to the typical 1.5 system Tamashii usually uses for female figures.
Regarding accessories, it’s a pretty complete figure with plenty of hands and faces. It also includes double hairpieces — one static and one dynamic — as well as arms with hands in the pockets and a ki attack effect.
