The Xbox One arrived in our homes on November 22, 2013, becoming Microsoft’s third console in the eighth generation. A console where everything was already connected to the internet and games were installed on hard drives.
Dragon Ball and its video games had a strong presence on the console, and many of these games carried over to later consoles. Here we will see the complete list of these games, their DLCs, the consoles needed to play them, and any accessories you might require.
There are five Dragon Ball and DBZ titles released for this console, all completely different: the endless Xenoverse 2, with its somewhat unique MMO fighting and adventure; the RPG Kakarot; the experimental The Breakers; and the intense fighting game FighterZ, several of which continued to be playable on this console.
The Xbox One was fully connected to the internet, and your games were now stored on your account, meaning that Xbox 360 games like Xenoverse 1, if you already owned them, could simply be downloaded on this new console… and you could play, even with graphical improvements.
This backward compatibility via online accounts continues between this console, the 'One', and the Series X, so all these games, if purchased on the 'One' and linked to your account, can also be downloaded on the 'Series X'.
This backward compatibility works only through the Xbox account by downloading the games.

To enjoy Dragon Ball games on Xbox One, the first thing you need, of course, is an Xbox One. Throughout its lifetime, Microsoft released three main versions of this console, each with improvements and adjustments aimed at different types of players.
The original Xbox One, focused on multimedia entertainment and Kinect integration, laid the foundation for the generation. Then came the Xbox One S, more compact, quieter, and supporting 4K HDR, perfect for those seeking a more refined experience. Finally, the Xbox One X took things to the next level, offering native 4K performance and extra power to get the most out of demanding games like Dragon Ball.
Here they are.
You may already have at home a console from when you were younger, or you may have inherited it from a friend or family member, or perhaps you bought it second-hand, but… you’re still missing some accessory or peripheral to be able to play with it, like a controller…
So here’s a list of the things you might need to play your console.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse Bundle Edition was released alongside the third and final DLC of the game, after the Season Pass concluded. This edition contains the original game along with all its DLC content, including the GT Pack 1 and 2, and the Resurrection 'F' Pack. It allows players to get all the game content at once without buying them individually.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Deluxe Edition was released alongside the standard version of the base game. This edition included the base game and the Super Pass (which contains Super Packs 1, 2, 3, 4 and early access to Future Trunks from DB Super).
It is basically the game plus the first Season Pass.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Special Edition is one of the most complete bundles of this 2016 game. It includes the base game, the Super Pass (which contains Super Packs 1, 2, 3, 4 and early access to Future Trunks from DB Super), and also the Hero of Justice Pack Set (which includes Justice Packs 1 and 2).
It includes almost all the DLC content released during the 9 years since the game's launch, up to the release of this edition.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is the fourth game in the Sparking! series, known in Europe and America as ‘Tenkaichi Budokai’. It is the fourth fighting game in this epic saga, featuring next-gen graphics and technology with unmatched expectations.
It includes a multiplayer mode focused on online or local PvP, allowing us to compete with friends and family. Its story mode is very complete and includes various ‘What if...’ scenarios that must be triggered by performing specific actions during story mode. Some of these what ifs are really good.
The game features a huge character roster, covering all Dragon Ball sagas, from Kid Goku's beginnings, through the three major DBZ sagas, and even content from DB Super and DB Daima.
For those unfamiliar with previous Tenkaichi titles, the fights take place in 3D environments with full movement freedom across the map, where players must defeat enemies using techniques and melee combos.
Besides being available on PS5, the game is also out on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot arrives as the first major 3D RPG with an open world and combat worthy of any fighting game. The base game covers the entire Dragon Ball Z story, from the arrival of Raditz to the defeat of Majin Buu, featuring impressive cutscenes and the involvement of Akira Toriyama to fill in narrative gaps from the original work.
The game is single-player and aims to be an RPG in the style of Final Fantasy: item collection, upgrades, leveling up, and skill development, with a semi-open world where players can explore Dragon World and complete side quests and minigames like fishing, baseball, or races.
Combat is similar to that of Xenoverse, but with CyberConnect2's development style (as seen in the Naruto games). The artistic direction was unmatched at the time.
The game launched in 2020 for PC and other consoles, but on the Switch, it was released a year later, including the base game and the first two DLCs. On other platforms, those DLCs must be purchased separately.
Since its release, the game has received several Season Passes, adding content from classic 90s movies, the early Dragon Ball Super movies, and also content from Dragon Ball Daima, among others.
Dragon Ball FighterZ – Ultimate Edition was released a few weeks after the base game, and it was the most complete edition available at launch. It included everything from the FighterZ Edition, such as the game’s first Season Pass, called FighterZ Pass 1, which adds 8 new playable characters. Among them are Cooler, Bardock, Broly, Vegito Blue, and more.
Additionally, as exclusive content for this edition, it included the Anime Music Pack and the Commentator Voice Pack, along with in-game cosmetics.
DBZ: Goku Hishōden begins at the end of Dragon Ball, featuring the battle between Goku and Piccolo at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, and concludes with the fight against Vegeta during the Saiyan Saga in Dragon Ball Z.
