On October 14, 2025, the official distributor in Spain for all Tamashii Nations products, SD Distribuciones, after 13 years of working together, announced the cessation of Tamashii Nations product distribution, leaving hundreds of collectors and their trusted stores suddenly without stock or preorders.
The official distributor of Tamashii Nations for over thirteen years, SD Distribuciones, has ended its relationship with Tamashii and ceased to be the official distributor since early October 2025.
SD announced this on October 14 through an official statement on its social media, stating that the decision was due to reasons beyond their control, although no specific details were given.
SD Distribuciones managed the Tamashii Nations brand in Spain, so both the website https://tamashiinations.es/ and all related events — such as the Barcelona Manga Fair — will no longer feature Tamashii’s participation, since SD was actually the one organizing everything.
In addition, all preorders made through https://tamashiinations.es/ have been canceled, and refunds will be issued. This also affects all the stores supplied by SD, many of which have been forced to cancel their customers’ preorders due to not finding an alternative distributor for the reserved figures.
The rest of SD’s brands remain unaffected.
We leave you a video from Coleccionista de Multiversos, where he explains everything in much more detail.
No concrete details have been given about the reasons, beyond stating that they are “unrelated to commercial performance.” It remains unclear whether the decision is linked to contractual issues, logistical costs, Tamashii Nations’ strategy, or profit margins. It has also not yet been confirmed who the new distributor in Spain will be — if there will be one at all — or when they might begin operations.
