This S.H. Figuarts "Son Goku Ultra Instinct," first released in 2020, is yet another regular Goku figure with the 2.0 body, whose main sculpting novelty is the fully exposed chest due to battle damage and the hair sculpt adapted to this divine transformation. Among its accessories, a Kamehameha effect stands out.
This articulated "Son Goku Ultra Instinct" figure was released in 2020 with a regular run and has had several re-stocks over the years. It is also the 81st figure in the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection.
This is the first release of this character in this transformation, and its design is based on what we saw during his battle with Jiren in the Tournament of Power arc of Dragon Ball Super.
Regarding its articulation architecture, it uses the 2.0 body seen in other Goku figures, and its accessories are typical for a regular figure: a few hands and faces, but it also adds a "charging" Kame-Hame-Ha ki effect. This effect has already been seen in other figures, like the 2014 Goku.
Its design and sculpt, while based on other Goku 2.0 figures with the Turtle School uniform, is the first to include this type of battle damage, with the chest fully exposed and the pants slightly torn. The 2015 Goku Warrior release has different battle damage.
In 2024, this figure had a re-release, this time as a 'Tamashii Web Exclusive' based on Toyotaro's artwork, which includes the Figupedia. It does not include the ki effect, and its faces and hair are different.
From listacompletade.com, it's a figure we recommend partially. It's not a bad figure, but in our opinion, the 2024 version of Toyotaro has better hair and face quality. However, this one is regular, and the other is exclusive.
Aside from all this, if you want to see an unboxing with a comparison, I invite you to watch the video from our friend on the YouTube channel El Cuarto 4to Gamer MX, who shows it to us with great enthusiasm.
Here you will see some of the more than 200 S.H. Figuarts releases that Tamashii Nations has brought us from Dragon Ball.
